On some possible applications of Laplace operator in a revolved coordinate system for numerical calculations

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии, 2013
The Laplace operator in a revolved coordinate system (the “revolved” Laplace operator) is introduced in numerical mesh method along diagonal lines. In this paper an attempt is made to use it for numerical solution of the two-dimensional Poisson equation.

An Efficient Analytical Technique, for The Solution of Fractional-Order Telegraph Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
In the present article, fractional-order telegraph equations are solved by using the Laplace-Adomian decomposition method. The Caputo operator is used to define the fractional derivative.

Bayesian and frequentist statistical models to predict publishing output and article processing charge totals

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract Academic libraries, institutions, and publishers are interested in predicting future publishing output to help evaluate publishing agreements. Current predictive models are overly simplistic and provide inaccurate predictions. This paper presents Bayesian and frequentist statistical models to predict future article counts and costs.

Isoperimetric bounds for Wentzel-Laplace eigenvalues on Riemannian manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
In this paper, we investigate eigenvalues of the Wentzel-Laplace operator on a bounded domain in some Riemannian manifold. We prove asymptotically optimal estimates, according to the Weyl's law through bounds that are given in terms of the isoperimetric ratio of the domain.

Output feedback robust stabilization of distributed‐order systems

open access: yesAsian Journal of Control, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper addresses the challenge of robust fast stabilization for a class of dynamical systems characterized by slow and ultra‐slow dynamics. The system model is approximated using a distributed‐order derivative of the measured output, which captures the influence of the control input, system dynamics, and external disturbances.

The Higher Spin Dirac Operators on 3-Dimensional Manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2000
We study the higher spin Dirac operators on 3-dimensional manifolds and show that there exist two Laplace type operators for each associated bundle. Furthermore, we give lower bound estimations for the first eigenvalues of these Laplace type operators.

A note on contributions concerning nonseparable spaces with respect to signal processing within Bayesian frameworks

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 46, Issue 1, Page 1178-1184, 15 January 2023., 2023
In this paper, we discuss the study of some signal processing problems within Bayesian frameworks and semigroups theory, in the case where the Banach space under consideration may be nonseparable. For applications, the suggested approach may be of interest in situations where approximation in the norm of the space is not possible.

An application to Kato's square root problem

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2002
We find all complex potentials Q such that the general Schrödinger operator on ℝn, given by L=−Δ+Q, where Δ is the Laplace differential operator, verifies the well-known Kato's square problem. As an application, we will consider the case where Q∈Lloc1(Ω)
