PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Large mode area aperiodic fiber designs for robust singlemode emission under high thermal load
International audienceIn this paper, we investigate the potential of various large mode area bers under thermal load, that is the state-of-the-art air-silica large pitch bers, as well as the recently devised symmetry-reduced photonic crystal ber and ...

Analysis of the modal content into large-mode-area photonic crystal fibers under heat load [PDF]
International audienceThanks to their capability to provide very large mode area together with effective suppression of high-order modes, while allowing strong pump absorption and efficient conversion, Yb-doped double-cladding photonic crystal fibers are

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Optical Mode Calculation in Large-Area Photonic Crystal Surface-Emitting Lasers
We discuss algorithms and numerical challenges in constructing and resolving spectral problems for photonic crystal surface-emitting lasers (PCSELs) with photonic crystal layers and large (up to several tens of mm$^{2}$) emission areas.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...
