Effect of Diet with Different Lasalocid Sodium Levels on the Fattening Performance and Carcass Characteristics of Crossbred Male Kids

open access: yesJournal of Applied Animal Research, 1999
To determine the effect of different, lasalocid sodium levels on fattening performance and, carcass characteristics of male kids, 40 German Fawn x Hair crossbred, kids, (75% German Fawn, 25% Hair) divided into 4 groups, were fed on diets containing 0, 25,

Spectrofluorometric Determination of Lasalocid Sodium in Finished Feeds and Premixes

open access: yesJournal of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists, 1974
Abstract A simple, rapid, and sensitive chemical method is described for determining lasalocid sodium in finished poultry feeds and premixes. The drug is extracted with ethyl acetate directly from premixes and after a brief treatment with pH 4.7 buffer from finished feeds.

Liquid Chromatography with Fluorescence Detection of Lasalocid Sodium in Feeds and Premixes

open access: yesJournal of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists, 1978
Abstract Lasalocid sodium is extracted directly from feeds and premixes with the mobile phase solution, an aliquot is chromatographed, and the concentration (peak height) of lasalocid sodium is measured by high pressure liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection. Chromatography and detection are completed in about 7 min.

Solubility and polymorphic forms of antibiotic lasalocid sodium in different organic solvents

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2014
Abstract The solubilities of lasalocid sodium in five organic solvents including methanol, ethanol, propan-2-ol, ethyl acetate and acetone were determined at temperatures ranging from 283.15 K to 323.15 K at atmospheric pressure using a gravimetric method and three novel polymorphic forms of lasaolocid sodium were observed.

Effect of monensin and lasalocid-sodium on the growth of methanogenic and rumen saccharolytic bacteria. [PDF]

open access: yesApplied and Environmental Microbiology, 1979
It is thought that monensin increases the efficiency of feed utilization by cattle by altering the rumen fermentation. We studied the effect of monensin and the related ionophore antibiotic lasalocid-sodium (Hoffman-LaRoche) on the growth of methanogenic and rumen saccharolytic bacteria in a complex medium containing rumen fluid.
