Infrared evidence for hydrogen bonding in the sodium salts of lasalocid a (X-537A)

Journal of the Chemical Society Chemical Communications, 1977
I.r. absorption measurements on sodium salts of lasalocid A clearly demonstrate the presence of hydrogen bonding.

Hydroxyl deformation frequencies as a probe of hydrogen bonding in lasalocid A (X-537A) and its sodium complex

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 1976
The hydroxyl deformation frequencies (900-1 500 cm-l) of lasalocid A, its sodium complex, and their deuterated de- rivatives were studied with Raman spectroscopy. The secondary and tertiary hydroxyl groups of lasalocid A give rise to spec- tral lines near 1425, 1303, 1172, and 738 cm-', typical of hydrogen-bonded hydroxyl groups.

Liquid chromatographic determination of lasalocid sodium in chicken skin: interlaboratory study.

Journal - Association of Official Analytical Chemists, 1989
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sponsored an interlaboratory study of a liquid chromatographic determinative procedure for lasalocid sodium in chicken skin with adhering fat. Four laboratories analyzed 35 dosed tissue samples and 82 fortified tissue samples containing lasalocid at levels ranging from 0.1 to 0.6 ppm. Samples were homogenized

Long-term supplementation of lasalocid-sodium for beef bulls during grazing and subsequent finishing period

Archiv für Tierernaehrung, 1988
117 white-red beef bulls were involved to investigate the effect of lasalocid-sodium when fed either during the grazing period, or the finishing period, or during both subsequent periods. The ionophore was fed at 250 mg daily per head incorporated in 1 kg dry sugar beet pulp on pasture and at 65 mg per kg concentrate afterwards (corresponding with 27 ...

23 Na NMR and FT-IR studies of sodium complexes with the ionophore lasalocid in solution

Journal of Molecular Structure, 2000
Abstract Lasalocid forms 1:1 or 2:2 complexes with sodium ions. The process of complexation was studied in different solvents at various temperatures by 23 Na NMR. The formation constants and Δ G values were determined. The nature of the complex between lasalocid and Na + ions was also studied by FT-IR spectroscopy. In chloroform, a 2:2 complex of

Barbatimão bark as an alternative to sodium lasalocid in finishing diets for lambs: Carcass characteristics and meat quality

Meat Science
This study aimed to evaluate the effects of replacing sodium lasalocid with additives from barbatimão bark (Stryphnodendron rotundifolium) on the carcass characteristics and meat quality of feedlot lambs fed a high-concentrate diet. Twenty-four Pantaneiro lambs with an initial body weight of 21.2 ± 3.6 kg, were distributed in a randomized block design ...
