Sodium lasalocid in blackbelly sheep feed (Ovis aries)
The objective was to evaluate the effect of sodium lasalocid supplementation in the productive characteristics and economics in Blackbelly sheep in growth. It was used 11 male of 5 months old, randomly distributed in two groups that fed with agro-industrial residues that was added sodium alkaloid (LS) in one treatment.

Studies of the complexation reactions of polyether ionophore antibiotics monensin A and lasalocid A with lead(II), zinc, calcium and sodium cations. [PDF]
Lead-ionophore complexes of the form PbLX and PbL2 (L = monensin A or lasalocid A; X- = anion) were isolated and characterized by elemental analysis (X = Cl--) and ESI-MS (X = Cl --, NO3, CH3COO--).

Ionophore antibiotics and hop cones as regulators of digestion and metabolism in ruminants
The general characteristics of ionophore antibiotics and the mechanisms of their antimicrobial action were analyzed. Two types of ionophore antibiotics are known: those that transport ions across the membrane, and those that form a channel in the cell ...
