LC50 of lambda-cyhalothrin stimulates reproduction on the moth Mythimna separata (Walker)

Lambda-cyhalothrin has long been recommended as an effective insecticide to control the oriental armyworm, Mythimna separata (Walker), a notorious migratory pest of agricultural plants. Previous researches have suggested that survival, development, and reproduction of insects are influenced by sublethal concentrations of insecticides.

Acute Toxicity and LC50 Values of Chlorpyrifos on Eudrilus eugeniae

Present study evaluates acute toxic effects of chlorpyrifos on earthworm ( Eudrilus eugeniae ) under laboratory conditions. Acute toxicity bioassays was performed following OECD ( 1984) guideline 207 using artificial soil. The LC50 values were determined after 7 and 14 days of exposure.

Standard error of lc50 and sample size in fish bioassays

Abstract The relationship between the relative error and sample size in fish bioassays was investigated empirically and theoretically. It was shown that if the mean concentration tested is near the estimated lc 50 and the same sample size is used at each test level, the dependence of relative error on sample size is predictable.

The objective of present investigation was to determine the Lethal Concentration 50 (LC50) of commercially available paraquat. a herbicide, at 24 % dilution with second instar larvae of Drosophila melanogaster. For this purpose the second instar larvae, were exposed to different concentrations of paraquat (20, 22, 24, 26 and 28 µl/ml).

Acute toxicity and LC50 determination of roundup on Eudrilus eugeniae

Present study was undertaken to assess effect of Roundup on earthworm, Eudrilus eugeniae. The values for LC50 were determined over 7 and 14 day exposure periods. Earthworms were exposed to concentrations ranging from 0.01 to 1000 ppm in artificial soil.
