Differential Immune Recognition of LCMV Nucleoprotein and Glycoprotein in Transgenic Mice Expressing LCMV cDNA Genes

open access: yesVirology, 1997
We have generated doubly transgenic (DT) mice that independently express cDNA genes for the nucleocapsid protein (NP) and the surface glycoproteins (GP) of lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV). By RT-PCR, transcription of both transgenes was detected at low levels in brain and kidney but was not observed in the thymus.

Impairment in predictive processes during auditory mismatch negativity in ScZ: evidence from event-related fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Patients with schizophrenia (ScZ) show pronounced dysfunctions in auditory perception but the underlying mechanisms as well as the localization of the deficit remain unclear.

IL-6 and IL-27 play both distinct and redundant roles in regulating CD4 T-cell responses during chronic viral infection

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2023
The IL-6 cytokine family signals through the common signal transduction molecule gp130 combined with a cytokine-specific receptor. Gp130 signaling on CD4 T cells is vital in controlling chronic infection of mice with lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus ...

Transcriptional repressor ZEB2 promotes terminal differentiation of CD8⁺ effector and memory T cell populations during infection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
ZEB2 is a multi-zinc-finger transcription factor known to play a significant role in early neurogenesis and in epithelial-mesenchymal transition-dependent tumor metastasis.

Distributed Rate-Constrained LCMV Beamforming

open access: yesIEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2019
In this letter, we propose a decentralized framework for rate-distributed linearly constrained minimum variance (LCMV) beamforming in wireless acoustic sensor networks. To save the energy usage within the network, we propose to minimize the transmission cost and put a constraint on the noise reduction performance.

Quadratically Constrained Beamforming Robust Against Direction-of-Arrival Mismatch [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
It is well known that the performance of the minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) beamformer is very sensitive to steering vector mismatch. Such mismatches can occur as a result of direction-of-arrival (DOA) errors, local scattering, near-far ...

Macrophage and T cell produced IL-10 promotes viral chronicity. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens, 2013
Chronic viral infections lead to CD8(+) T cell exhaustion, characterized by impaired cytokine secretion. Presence of the immune-regulatory cytokine IL-10 promotes chronicity of Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis Virus (LCMV) Clone 13 infection, while absence ...

LCMV: Lightweight Classification Module for Video Domain Adaptation

open access: yes, 2023
Video action recognition models exhibit high performance on in-distribution data but struggle with distribution shifts in test data. To mitigate this issue, Unsupervised Domain Adaptation (UDA) methods have been proposed, consisting in training on labeled data from a source domain and incorporating unlabeled test data from a target domain to reduce the

Microbiota stimulation generates LCMV-specific memory CD8+ T cells in SPF mice and determines their TCR repertoire during LCMV infection

open access: yesMolecular Immunology, 2020
Both mouse and human harbour memory phenotype CD8+ T cells specific for antigens in hosts that have not been previously exposed to these antigens. The origin and the nature of the stimuli responsible for generation of CD44hi CD8+ T cells in specific pathogen-free (SPF) mice remain controversial.

Role of Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis Virus (LCMV) in Understanding Viral Immunology: Past, Present and Future

open access: yesViruses, 2012
Lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) is a common infection of rodents first identified over eighty years ago in St. Louis, MO, U.S.A. It is best known for its application in immunological studies.
