Influence of physiological changes in endogenous estrogen on circulating PCSK9 and LDL cholesterol
Pharmacologically increased estrogen levels have been shown to lower hepatic and plasma proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) levels in animals and humans.

Elevated exogenous palmitic acid promotes the S‐palmitoylation of SRPK1 in endothelial cells, a dynamic process governed by ZDHHC24 and APT1. This post‐translational modification strengthens the interaction between SRPK1 and the E3 ubiquitin ligase MIB1, thereby facilitating the proteasomal degradation of SRPK1.

Background: Heart failure is a frequent complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Plasma cholesterol, particularly the proatherogenic low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, impairs heart function by promoting atheroma formation and ventricular

Measurement of Total Cholesterol, HDL-Cholesterol, and LDL-Cholesterol
Plasma concentrations of LDL and HDL are generally measured in terms of their cholesterol content. This requires the separation of the appropriate lipoprotein-containing fractions. The separation and measurement of each fraction are described.

In Situ Lipoprotein‐seeking Dye for in Vivo Real‐Time Imaging of Lipid Dysregulation Diseases
This study develops lipoprotein‐seeking NIR‐II dyes that specifically bind circulating lipoproteins. These dyes form ultra‐stable complexes with endogenous lipoprotein, enabling real‐time, high‐contrast imaging of fatty liver and atherosclerotic plaques. Tunable binding kinetics allow customized imaging windows.

Plasma low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, non-high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, and apolipoprotein (apo) B, the major protein constituent of LDL, were measured in 1,533 men (mean age 49 +/- 10 years) and 1,597 women (mean age 49 +/- 10 ...
