Proceedings of the Conference on Emerging Economic Issues in a Globalizing World [PDF]
The challenges facing Þanlýurfa are not unique, they are the same challenges found in rural areas all around the world. Agriculture is still the most important sector in Þanlýurfa, but it is generating fewer and fewer jobs.

Seed germination improves air classification efficiency of pea and faba bean flours
Abstract BACKGROUND Increasing interest in incorporating pulses into human diets has increased demand for their fractionation into diverse food ingredients. Air classification has relatively low capital and operating costs, uses no water, and preserves the native protein structure.

Radiation damage in sub‐Ångström resolution macromolecular crystallography: a low‐dose study
This first systematic radiation‐damage study at 0.55 Å resolution reveals extensive small conformational changes in response to dose. The findings demonstrate the benefits of using large crystals fully bathed in a large `top‐hat' beam with a uniform fluence profile, together with low‐dose data‐collection protocols, for sub‐Ångström structure ...

Measuring Male-Female Productivity Differentials in Ethiopian Agriculture: Policy Implications for Improving the Livelihood of Female Farmers [PDF]
An understanding of the efficiency with which women farmers are operating, particularly where they account for the largest share of the labor force required for agricultural production, is essential for designing appropriate policies to improve the ...

Gap Analysis of Metabolic Conversions of Off‐Flavors and Antinutrients in Plant‐Based Substrates
ABSTRACT To drastically reduce the carbon footprint of the food production chain, a major shift towards alternatives to conventional meat and dairy products is required. The use of plant‐based proteins is a promising route, but it also comes with challenges: Plant‐based proteins often contain antinutritional factors and off‐flavors, which can ...
