EGFR inhibition reverses resistance to lenvatinib in hepatocellular carcinoma cells

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Lenvatinib is approved as a first-line treatment for unresectable HCC.

Identification of Fasudil as a collaborator to promote the anti-tumor effect of lenvatinib in hepatocellular carcinoma by inhibiting GLI2-mediated hedgehog signaling pathway

open access: yesPharmacological Research
Lenvatinib is a frontline tyrosine kinase inhibitor for patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, just 25% of patients benefit from the treatment, and acquired resistance always develops.

Overexpression of the lncRNA HOTAIRM1 promotes lenvatinib resistance by downregulating miR-34a and activating autophagy in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesDiscover Oncology, 2023
Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignant cancers in humans and has a high fatality rate. Despite pharmacological advances such as sorafenib and lenvatinib approval, responses are seen only in a limited fraction of ...

Exosome-derived hsa_circ_0007132 promotes lenvatinib resistance by inhibiting the ubiquitin-mediated degradation of NONO. [PDF]

open access: yesNoncoding RNA Res
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly heterogeneous solid tumor, with its incidence showing a troubling upward trend over the past decade. Lenvatinib is one of the first-line medications for treating advanced HCC, however, the development of ...

AL398, A Novel NSUN6 Inhibitor, Attenuates Epithelial‐Mesenchymal Transition and Metastasis in Endometrial Cancer by Abrogating m5C‐Dependent Stabilization of Snail mRNA

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Proposed molecular mechanism: NSUN6 catalyzes m5C methylation on Snail mRNA to enhance its stability, leading to Snail upregulation and EMT promotion. The first‐in‐class inhibitor AL398 suppresses endometrial cancer metastasis by targeting the NSUN6‐m5C‐Snail. axis. ABSTRACT Endometrial cancer (EC) constitutes a leading gynecologic malignancy for which

USP4‐Dependent CHAF1B Stabilization Regulates Distinct SETDB1 Ubiquitin States Linked to AKT T308 Signaling and Lipogenic Remodeling in HCC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
USP4 stabilizes CHAF1B by limiting K48‐linked ubiquitination. Stabilized CHAF1B supports UHRF1‐associated K63‐linked SETDB1 ubiquitination and cytoplasmic redistribution, whereas CHAF1B loss favors VHL‐dependent K11‐associated degradative ubiquitination and proteasomal loss of SETDB1.
