A Case Report on Meningitis Complicated by Acute Ischemic Stroke and Failed Thrombolysis
ABSTRACT Ischemic stroke is one of the rare but grave complications of meningitis with poor outcomes and long‐term sequelae, and the role of thrombolysis with infection‐related stroke remains uncertain. This case report documents a 52‐year‐old man presented with fever, headache, vomiting, and altered sensorium, and on examination he had neck rigidity ...

Differential expression of DNA damage response genes was evaluated in Bangladeshi AMI patients. CDK7 showed significantly higher expression in NSTEMI compared to STEMI, while ATM, OGG1, and NBN showed no subtype‐specific differences, highlighting potential transcriptional heterogeneity between AMI subtypes.

Admission WBC identified who benefited from adjunctive methylprednisolone after thrombectomy. Improved 90‐day function and lower mortality/pneumonia occurred only with WBC ≥ 10 × 109/L, supporting WBC‐guided corticosteroid targeting. ABSTRACT Background Leukocyte‐driven inflammation may contribute to reperfusion–outcome mismatch after thrombectomy.
