The assembly and importance of a novel ecosystem: The ant community of coffee farms in Puerto Rico

Here, we describe the arboreally foraging ant community in 25 coffee farms in Puerto Rico. We find that the majority of the dominant species are non‐native. Through a detailed study of two of the farms, we describe the interactions between two non‐native dominant species, Wasmannia auropunctata and Solenopsis invicta.
