Cytoplasmic LIF reprograms invasive mode to enhance NPC dissemination through modulating YAP1-FAK/PXN signaling

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
Molecular pathways regulating nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) metastasis are unclear. Here they report higher levels of cytoplasmic leukemia inhibitory factor (cLIF) and LIF receptor (LIFR) to correlate with higher metastasis in NPC patients, and show ...

No correlation between pinopode formation and LIF and MMP2 expression in endometrium during implantation window

open access: yesFolia Histochemica et Cytobiologica, 2012
Implantation depends on two factors — embryo and endometrium. The period of maximal endometrial receptivity is a poorly understood phenomenon.

LIF Mediates Proinvasive Activation of Stromal Fibroblasts in Cancer

open access: yesCell Reports, 2014
Signaling crosstalk between tumor cells and fibroblasts confers proinvasive properties to the tumor microenvironment. Here, we identify leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) as a tumor promoter that mediates proinvasive activation of stromal fibroblasts ...

Leukemia inhibitory factor in rat fetal lung development: expression and functional studies. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
BACKGROUND: Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) are members of the family of the glycoprotein 130 (gp130)-type cytokines. These cytokines share gp130 as a common signal transducer, which explains why they show some functional ...

Effect of Irisin on LIF and integrin αvβ3 in rats of implantation failure

open access: yesReproductive Biology and Endocrinology, 2021
Objective The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of irisin on leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) and integrin αvβ3 in implantation failure uterus.

Engineering Pluripotent Stem Cells‐Derived Inner Ear Organoids With Enhanced Maturation and Reproducibility by Micro‐Topographical Cues

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Micro‐topographical cues applied through temporally controlled microscale confinement improve the reproducibility, spatial organization, and neurosensory‐associated features of pluripotent stem cell‐derived inner ear organoids. Integration with a vascularized organoid platform further enables controlled investigation of vascular‐epithelial interactions

Chemical Screening Identifies Danofloxacin as a Self‐Renewal Agonist of Embryonic Stem Cells through Alleviation of HDAC1‐Mediated Deacetylation of Tert and Prdm10

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identified Danofloxacin as a novel supporter of the maintenance of mouse embryonic stem cell (ESC) pluripotency. It functions partially by inhibiting HDAC1, which increases specific histone acetylation marks and activates key genes like Tert and Prdm10.

Spatially Organized Human Ovarian Spheroids Instruct Endometrial Morphogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A spatially organized human follicle‐like spheroid (SPHEGaT) composed of granulosa cells (GCs) and stromal‐derived theca‐like cells (TLCs) establishes sustained steroidogenesis in vitro. When co‐cultured with human endometrial organoids (EMOs), estradiol (E2) and progesterone (P4) exchange induces secretory/progesterone‐responsive differentiation ...
