O USO DO SERRA GERAL NO ESTADO DO MATO GROSSO DO SUL

Serotonin, GnRH-A, and dopamine interaction in the control of in vivo luteinizing hormone release in Prussian carp (Carassius gibelio Bloch) at the time of gonad recrudescence

open access: yesCzech Journal of Animal Science, 2015
The effects of serotonin (5-HT), GnRH analogue (D-Ala6 LHRH, GnRH-A) and dopamine antagonist - pimozide (PIM), on luteinizing hormone (LH) release in mature Prussian carp female (Carassius gibelio Bloch) were examined at the time of gonad recrudescence ...

Indoleamine 2,3‐dioxygenase 1 inhibition reverses cancer‐associated fibroblast‐mediated immunosuppression in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CAF‐mediated immunosuppression in ovarian cancer is driven by IDO1, reducing T‐cell function. Inhibiting IDO1 restores T‐cell proliferation and cytotoxicity, increases cancer cell apoptosis, and may help overcome CAF‐induced immune suppression in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer. Targeting IDO1 may improve antitumor immunity.

Time-dependent occurrence rate of electromagnetic cyclotron waves in the solar wind: evidence for effect of alpha particles?

open access: yes, 2017
Previous studies revealed that electromagnetic cyclotron waves (ECWs) near the proton cyclotron frequency exist widely in the solar wind, and the majority of ECWs are left-handed (LH) polarized waves. Using the magnetic field data from the STEREO mission,

Parallel-Interference-Cancellation-Assisted Decision-Directed Channel Estimation for OFDM Systems using Multiple Transmit Antennas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The number of transmit antennas that can be employed in the context of least-squares (LS) channel estimation contrived for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems employing multiple transmit antennas is limited by the ratio of the ...

Evolutionary dynamics of the chloroplast genome in Daphne (Thymelaeaceae): comparative analysis with related genera and insights into phylogenetics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Comparative analysis of chloroplast genomes from 14 genera of Thymelaeaceae revealed variation in gene content, ranging from 128 to 142 genes, primarily influenced by IR expansion/contraction events and pseudogenization of ndhF, ndhI, and ndhG. Two large inversions were detected within the large single‐copy region, including a synapomorphic inversion ...

Longitudinal Study: Swine Inflammation and Necrosis Syndrome in Suckling and Weaned Piglets Is Associated with Tail Length and Integrity in Slaughter Pigs

open access: yesAnimals
Swine Inflammation and Necrosis Syndrome (SINS) is a highly prevalent, predominantly endogenous condition that compromises tissue integrity and animal welfare across different life stages in pigs. Increasing evidence suggests that early-life SINS lesions

Effects of non-steroidal gonadal factors on LH secretion in female common carp during the reproductive cycle

open access: yesCzech Journal of Animal Science, 2008
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of recombinant human inhibin A, recombinant human activin A and desteroidized ovarian extract on LH secretion in vitro and in vivo in female common carp during different stages of reproductive cycle ...

Thermal structure and exhumation history of the Lesser Himalaya in central Nepal [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The Lesser Himalaya (LH) consists of metasedimentary rocks that have been scrapped off from the underthrusting Indian crust and accreted to the mountain range over the last ~20 Myr. It now forms a significant fraction of the Himalayan collisional orogen.
