The Effect of Oral Feeding of Tribulus terrestris L. on Sex Hormone and Gonadotropin Levels in Addicted Male Rats [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Fertility and Sterility, 2013
Background: Opioids can exert adverse effects on the body. Morphine, an opioid drug, reduces hormone levels and fertility, and causes sexual activity disorders.

Pituitary and ovarian hormones: is their plasma concentration affected by litter size in primiparous lactating rabbit does?

open access: yesWorld Rabbit Science, 2021
Genetic selection in commercial rabbit lines based on litter size has positively improved the number of kits suckling, presumably to weaning. Although it has been proven that the energetic balance of primiparous does is due to the need to satisfy ...

One-loop flavor change in Little Higgs models

open access: yes, 2011
The Little Higgs (LH) idea attempts to cure the little amount of fine-tuning necessary to bridge the gap between the Higgs mass (electroweak scale) and the new physics scale suggested by electroweak precision tests (~10 TeV).

Parallel-Interference-Cancellation-Assisted Decision-Directed Channel Estimation for OFDM Systems using Multiple Transmit Antennas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The number of transmit antennas that can be employed in the context of least-squares (LS) channel estimation contrived for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems employing multiple transmit antennas is limited by the ratio of the ...

Acoustic Measures Capture Speech Dysfunction in Spinocerebellar Ataxia

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxias (SCA) are hereditary cerebellar degenerative disorders with a common feature of dysarthria, involving impaired phonatory and articulatory control of speech, thereby affecting social communication. In this study, we investigated whether acoustic measures could objectively measure speech dysfunction and identify

Large Quark Rotations, Neutrino mixing and Proton Decay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Right-handed (RH) rotations do not play a role in the Standard Model, and only the differences of the LH mixing angles are involved in ${\bf V}_{\scr \textrm{CKM}}$. This leads to the huge freedom in the fermionic mass matrices.

Clinical Spectrum and Outcomes of SOX1 Antibody‐Associated Paraneoplastic Neurological Syndromes: A Chinese Cohort Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background SOX1 antibody‐positive paraneoplastic neurological syndromes (PNS) exhibit significant population‐specific clinical heterogeneity. While Western cohorts predominantly manifest Lambert‐Eaton myasthenic syndrome (65%–80%), comprehensive clinical characterization and treatment response data in Asian populations remain critically ...

Longitudinal Study: Swine Inflammation and Necrosis Syndrome in Suckling and Weaned Piglets Is Associated with Tail Length and Integrity in Slaughter Pigs

open access: yesAnimals
Swine Inflammation and Necrosis Syndrome (SINS) is a highly prevalent, predominantly endogenous condition that compromises tissue integrity and animal welfare across different life stages in pigs. Increasing evidence suggests that early-life SINS lesions

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.
