SIRT4 positively regulates autophagy via ULK1, but independently of HDAC6 and OPA1
Cells expressing SIRT4 (H161Y), a catalytically inactive mutant of the sirtuin SIRT4, fail to upregulate LC3B‐II and exhibit a reduced autophagic flux under stress conditions. Interestingly, SIRT4(H161Y) promotes phosphorylation of ULK1 at S638 and S758 that are associated with inhibition of autophagy initiation.

Linear Hamiltonian Vector Fields on Lie Groups
Linear vector fields on Lie groups constitute a fundamental class of dynamical systems, as their flows are one-parameter subgroups of automorphisms and their infinitesimal behavior is entirely determined by derivations of the Lie algebra.

dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Quantum Field Tensor Model of Telecommunication Network Objects Interaction Based on Lie Groups
This research explores the application of quantum physics methodologies to analyse digital flows within telecommunication networks. This study introduces a novel tensor model, grounded in the SU(2) Lie group, designed to simulate symmetric and asymmetric

Hilbert-Haar coordinates and Miranda's theorem in Lie groups
We study the interior regularity of solutions to a class of quasilinear equations of non-degenerate p-Laplacian type on Lie groups that admit a system of Hilbert-Haar coordinates. These are coordinates with respect to which every linear function has zero

We solve the regularity problem for Milnor's infinite dimensional Lie groups in the $C^0$-topological context, and provide necessary and sufficient regularity conditions for the standard setting ($C^k$-topology).

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Variations on the theme Euler angles [PDF]
We discuss different parameterizations of the Lie group SO(3). The well-known Rodrigues formula describes the three dimensional orthogonal matrices in terms of their axes and angles of rotation.

The Pilgerschritt (Liedl) transform
The Pilgerschritt transform was introduced by Roman Liedl, Innsbruck, in the late seventies of the last century. He came up with the idea for this transform after studies of the Volterra product integral and dealing with questions in ...
