Multi-omics analysis reveals BDE47 induces depression-like behaviors in mice by interfering with the 2-arachidonoyl glycerol-associated microbiota-gut-brain axis

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2023
2,2′,4,4′-tetrabromodiphenyl ether (BDE47) is a foodborne environmental risk factor for depression, but the pathogenic mechanism has yet to be fully characterized. In this study, we clarified the effect of BDE47 on depression in mice.

SiNPs induce ferroptosis in HUVECs through p38 inhibiting NrF2 pathway

open access: yesFrontiers in Public Health, 2023
IntroductionDespite of growing evidence linking silica nanoparticles (SiNPs), one of the global-top-three-produced and -used nanoparticle (NP), to human health risks, there remain many knowledge gaps over the adverse effects of SiNPs exposure on ...

Artifact Lifecycle Discovery [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cooperative Information Systems, 2015
Artifact-centric modeling is an approach for capturing business processes in terms of so-called business artifacts — key entities driving a company's operations and whose lifecycles and interactions define an overall business process. This approach has been shown to be especially suitable in the context of processes where one-to-many or many-to-many ...

Discerning protein pools by selective staining with self‐labeling tags

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cell surface proteins have an intra‐ and extracellular pool. Combining genetic fusion to self‐labeling tags that can be addressed with small molecule fluorophores allows separating these pools. We highlight recent developments and techniques for state‐of‐the‐art interrogation of cell surface proteins in the complex tissue setting.

MAZ-mediated N6-methyladenosine modification of ZEB1 promotes hepatocellular carcinoma progression by regulating METTL3

open access: yesJournal of Translational Medicine
Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has a hidden onset and high malignancy. Its high metastasis, high recurrence, and short survival time have always been a difficult and hot spot in clinical practice.

Advancing Stroke Clinical Trials Using Community Engagement and Implementation Science Approaches

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Stroke clinical trials are essential for advancing stroke care but can face challenges with recruitment, retention, clinical relevance, and translation into real‐world practice. We propose that integrating community engagement and implementation science approaches into stroke trials can help address these needs.
