Aerodynamic Forces Acting on a Race Car for Various Ground Clearances and Rake Angles

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2019
Computational model was developed to investigate aerodynamic forces acting on a closed-wheel race car. A particular focus was on the effects of ground clearance and rake angle on aerodynamic drag and lift forces.

Aerodynamic Characteristics of UAV Taking Off and Landing from Water Surface with Multi-Segment Wing in Ground Effect [PDF]

open access: yesHangkong bingqi
In order to improve the performance of aerodynamic and take off and landing from water surface, a new biomimetic UAV with multi-segment wing in ground effect is designed based on the hull fuselage, multi-segment wing and T-tai.

Development of a semi-analytical model to select a suitable airfoil section for blades of horizontal axis hydrokinetic turbine

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2020
All modern hydro-kinetic turbines are being designed based on a lift, using airfoils, which should have a significant lift to drag ratio to achieve maximum efficiency.SG604X family airfoil has significant lift-to-drag ratio under an operating range of Re

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Effect of bevel angle of three-layer parallel plate on hydrodynamic performances of otter-board

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
The effect of bevel angle of three-layer parallel plate of otter-board on hydrodynamic performances is investigated by model wind tunnel test. Four otter-board models are designed with four different bevel angles (8°, 10°, 12° and 14°) , and tested under

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Exploring on Aerodynamic Characteristics of Low Reynolds Number Airfoil in Time-varying Wind Field

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao, 2019
A solar-powered unmanned aerial vehicle generally encounters the problems that it has low Reynolds effects and is highly susceptible to gust response.

PENGUKURAN KOEFISIEN AERODINAMIS MODEL-MODEL JEMBATAN BENTANG PANJANG [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The objective of this research is to measure aerodynamic coefficients of long-span bridge deck models. Four models with different wind nose (fairings) will be tested using open loop wind tunnel.

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.
