Flavour and Fragrance Journal, 2007
AbstractEsterases are a group of hydrolytic enzymes that split ester bonds by addition of water and are ubiquitously present in diverse biosystems. Although animal esterases are well studied and are catalytically and functionally classified into different groups, plant enzymes have been viewed rather generally and are casually recruited as biochemical ...

Contact Dermatitis, 2007
Background: Fragrances are among the most common causes of allergic contact dermatitis. We have in previous studies shown that linalool, present in lavender oil, autoxidizes on air exposure, forming allergenic oxidation products. Oxidized linalool was found to be a frequent cause of contact allergy in a patch test study on consecutive dermatitis ...

Authentication of essential oils containing linalool and linalyl acetate by isotopic methods
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1992Site-specific natural isotope fractionation studied by NMR combined with molecular isotope ratio determination by mass spectrometry was used to characterise linalool and linalyl acetate obtained from chemical synthesis or extracted from essential oil of well-defined botanical and geographical ...

Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2011
Liquid−liquid equilibrium (LLE) data of the solubility curves and tie-line compositions were examined of the (water + ethanol + linalyl acetate) system at T = (298.2, 308.2, and 318.2) K and P = 101.325 kPa. The relative mutual solubility of ethanol is higher in the water phase than in the linalyl acetate phase.

Determination of possible mechanism of Linalyl Acetate in Swiss albino Mice
Research Journal of Pharmacy and TechnologyObjective: To determine GABA1A receptor agonist activity of linalyl acetate by using combination of linalyl acetate with alprazolam. To determine 5HT1A receptor agonist activity of linalyl acetate by using combination of linalyl acetate with Buspirone. To determine anxiolytic potential of linalyl acetate in drug induced anxiety by using linalyl acetate
