Optimal Regulation of Credit Lines

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2023
This paper presents a contract-theoretic model in which banks choose pre-arranged and ex post funding to finance firms’ liquidity needs through credit lines. When liquidity needs are high, pre-arranged funding is key to sustaining lending and reducing the number of firms going into liquidation.

The regulation of leased lines

2007 6th Conference on Telecommunication Techno-Economics, 2007
Leased lines from the premises of corporations to the points of presence of service providers are a key economic input to their business models. There has been a scries of complaints from new entrant operators around the world, that they are being disadvantaged in their access to this essential facility and that discrimination of various forms is ...

Self-regulated Fading in On-line Learning

2009
Self-regulation and scaffolding are two important techniques for improving student performance in on-line learning systems. An experiment was carried out to see whether students could effectively regulate their own scaffolding and fading when using a system for improving their understanding of OO programming.

An enhancer trap zebrafish line for lateral line development and regulation of six2b expression

Gene Expression Patterns, 2022
Zebrafish lateral line system which is derived from neurogenic placodes has become a popular model for developmental biology since its formation involves cell migration, pattern formation, organogenesis, and hair cell regeneration. Transgenic lines play a crucial role in lateral line system study.

Output and regulation in long-distance lines

Proceedings of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1909
The limitations of the power transmission line as to distance, power, and voltage, and its characteristics as to voltage-variation and energy-loss, have always excited a great deal of interest in the electrical art. The subject has been treated by a number of prominent engineers in its various phases, notable among these being Scott, Perrine, Steinmetz,

PWM line voltage regulator with integrated PFC

IEEE 34th Annual Conference on Power Electronics Specialist, 2003. PESC '03., 2004
This paper proposes a single stage PWM converter capable of interfacing ac loads with the utility grid. The converter presents the following basic features: generation of a controlled line frequency AC voltage, unity input power factor, high frequency line and load filter inductors.
