Active Disturbance Rejection Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Based on RPLESO

open access: yesEnergies
In view of the problem of the low-speed jitter of household lawn mowers driven by a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) at low speeds and high torque, and the complicated parameters of traditional non-linear active disturbance rejection controllers,

Probing Cellular Activity Via Charge‐Sensitive Quantum Nanoprobes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A new quantum sensing modality detects shifts in zero‐field splitting caused by charge rearrangement with diamond nanocrystals in response to cellular activity. These electric‐field‐driven effects provide an alternative to temperature‐based interpretations, enabling real‐time, single‐cell readout of inflammation.

Performance Monitoring of Control Systems using Likelihood Methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Evaluating deterioration in performance of control systems using closed loop operating data is addressed. A framework is proposed in which acceptable performance is expressed as constraints on the closed loop transfer function impulse response ...

An Active Disturbance Rejection Control of Large Wind Turbine Pitch Angle Based on Extremum-Seeking Algorithm

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
This paper proposes the analysis and design of the linear active disturbance rejection controller (LADRC) for the pitch angle model of a large wind turbine generator (WTG). Since the transfer function of the pitch control system exhibits nonminimum-phase

A voltage-source inverter for microgrid applications with an inner current control loop and an outer voltage control loop [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Distributed generation (DG) units are commonly inter-faced to the grid by using voltage-source inverters (VSI’s). Extension of the control of these inverters allows to improve the power quality if the main power grid is disturbed or disconnected. In this

Multiobjective Codesign Optimization of a Planar Pneumatic Artificial Muscle‐Based Snake‐Like Robot for Enhanced Agility and Energy Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A codesign multiobjective optimization framework was developed to enhance the morphology and controller of a snake‐like robot driven by artificial muscles. It improved planar locomotion, agility, and power efficiency. The approach optimized link geometry and controller gains, revealing that shorter muscles near joints and longer linkages maximize ...
