Realisation of linear time-varying systems
International Journal of Control, 2016ABSTRACTIn this paper, the realisation problem of linear multi-input multi-output, time-varying systems is studied. The approach, based on the theory of non-commutative polynomial rings, yields explicit and simple formulas for computation of the state coordinates as well as for state equations in observable canonical form.

On linear time-varying system characterizations
2009 IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology, 2009An alternative approach for characterization of linear time-varying (LTV) systems in the time-domain and frequency-domain is developed. The two-dimensional Laplace transform (2DLT) technique for obtaining the response of LTV systems and networks is outlined.

Inclusion Principle for Linear Time-Varying Systems
SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2003Summary: The main objective of this paper is to consider time-varying linear systems within the framework of the inclusion principle. Starting from general definitions, conditions are derived for a dynamic system to include a dynamic system of smaller dimension.

Driven dynamics of time-varying linear systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1997Motivated by applications to automatic control of aircraft, we consider the problem of output tracking for time-varying linear systems. The signals to be tracked are bounded on (-/spl infin/, /spl infin/), and our goal is to compute bounded controls and bounded state trajectories that result in the desired tracking.

Stabilization of linear systems with time‐varying delays
International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, 2012SUMMARYThis paper is concerned with the stability and stabilization problems for a class of time‐delayed systems, whose time‐varying delays are studied via Markovian approach. By separating the delay interval into several subintervals and by considering the inherent distribution of time‐varying delay, a new model is firstly developed.

On Functional Observers for Linear Time-Varying Systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2013The technical note deals with existence conditions of a functional observer for linear time-varying systems in the case where the order of the observer is equal to the number of observed variables. Constructive procedures for the design of such a linear functional observer are deduced from the existence conditions.

Observers design for linear time-varying systems
Proceedings of the 39th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.00CH37187), 2002We give some results on the convergence of the Kalman filter (KF) when used as an observer for linear time-varying systems. Based on the block-input/block-output state model, we prove that the state observer given in Kamen (1993) is equivalent to the KF algorithm.
