The bHLH-zip transcription factor SREBP regulates triterpenoid and lipid metabolisms in the medicinal fungus Ganoderma lingzhi

open access: yesCommunications Biology, 2023
An integration of genomic, DAP-seq, RNA-seq, metabolomic and genetic approaches identifies SREBP as a key transcription factor regulating triterpenoid and lipid metabolisms in the medicinal fungus Ganoderma lingzhi.

FvMAPK6‐Mediated FvMYB44s/FvSWEET1 Dual‐Layer Regulation Modulates Sugar Accumulation in Strawberry Fruit, With FvSPS3 Enabling Quality–Yield Balance

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 6, Page 4221-4239, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Sugar content is a key determinant of fruit quality, and sugars also act as signalling molecules that regulate ripening processes, including anthocyanin accumulation. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying sugar accumulation and sugar signal‐mediated ripening remain incompletely understood.

Senomorphic Small Extracellular Vesicles Delivered by a Tissue‐Adhesive α‐Lipoic‐Acid Hydrogel Enable Immuno‐Rejuvenation for Bone‐Tendon Interface Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 30, 28 May 2026.
This work identifies M1 macrophage‐mediated inflammation as a key driver of BMSC senescence and bone microstructural deterioration at the enthesis. A tissue‐adhesive hydrogel delivering senomorphic small extracellular vesicles suppresses this inflammatory‐senescent cascade and enhances BMSC resilience by inhibiting the cGAS‐STING‐NF‐κB pathway.

Guessing and Its Limits

open access: yesPhilosophy and Phenomenological Research, Volume 112, Issue 3, Page 563-577, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Guessing is the thesis that, roughly put, you may believe something iff it is among the most probable answers to a salient question. The thesis is motivated by observed features of felicitous belief reports when agents confront a question they aren't certain how to answer.

Impact of Submerged Fermentation Parameters on Proteins Extracted from Ganoderma sichuanense and Their Antioxidant Potential

open access: yesMicroorganisms
Ganoderma sichuanense is a widely studied medicinal mushroom, but the production of its antioxidant proteins has been scarcely evaluated. We assess the influence of different concentrations of culture media components under submerged fermentation, with ...

The identification of microRNAs in Ganoderma lingzhi sporocarp

open access: yesMycoscience, 2016
Abstract Ganoderma lingzhi is a kind of precious medicinal mushroom. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play an important role in the regulation of a broad range of biological processes. In this study, we first report on the miRNAs of the G. lingzhi sporocarp. In total, 132 known miRNAs and 34 putative candidate (PC) miRNAs were identified for the first time in G ...
