A range of physical properties of linseed (Linum usitatissimum) were determined as a function of moisture content. As the moisture content increased from 8·25 to 22·25% dry basis (d.b.), the average length, width, thickness and the geometric mean diameter varied from 4·57 to 4·86, 2·40 to 2·59, 1·03 to 1·13 and 2·24 to 2·43 mm, respectively.
