The oxidation of β‐chlorohydrins is thermodynamically unfavourable. To solve this, different photocatalytic systems are explored under white light irradiation. Best results are achieved using 2,3‐dichloro‐5,6‐dicyano‐1,4‐benzoquinone in stochiometric or catalytic loadings including tert‐butyl nitrite/O2 as regeneration system.

Chemically recyclable polyester thermosets from activated adipic acid and renewable polyols
This study outlines a method for producing chemically recyclable crosslinked polyesters using renewable polyols – glycerol and sorbitol – combined with adipic acid (AA), which is transformed/activated into a polyanhydride mixture prior to use. A three‐step procedure was designed: i) an acid‐catalyzed reaction of AA with non‐toxic isopropenyl acetate or

Abstract Biodegradable polymers have been getting more and more attention because of their contribution to the plastic pollution environmental issues and to move towards a circular economy. Nevertheless, biodegradable materials still exhibit various disadvantages restraining a widespread use in the market.

Advanced Imaging and Cytometric Techniques to Characterize Lipid Accumulation in Wolman Disease
ABSTRACT Wolman disease (WD) is a severe lysosomal storage disorder characterized by fatal lipid accumulation caused by the deficiency of a lipid metabolic enzyme, Lysosomal Acid Lipase (LAL), involved in the lysosomal hydrolysis of cholesterols and triglycerides.

Abstract Background The endocannabinoid system is a neuromodulatory system implicated in cellular processes during both development and regeneration. The Mexican axolotl, one of only a few vertebrates capable of central nervous system regeneration, was used to examine the role of the endocannabinoid system in the regeneration of the tail and spinal ...
