Cardiac Organoid Model Inspired Micro‐Robot Smart Patch to Treat Myocardial Infarction
The heart organoid model exhibits the acidic microenvironment characteristic of myocardial infarction, which emerges as a pivotal force propelling the movement of micro‐robots. These micro‐robots, administered through microneedles, can penetrate deep into the tissue, effectively delivering therapeutic payloads to facilitate heart repair.

Perilipin regulates the thermogenic actions of norepinephrine in brown adipose tissue [PDF]
In response to cold, norepinephrine (NE)-induced triacylglycerol hydrolysis (lipolysis) in adipocytes of brown adipose tissue (BAT) provides fatty acid substrates to mitochondria for heat generation (adaptive thermogenesis).

Three polymorphisms associated with low hepatic lipase activity are common in African Americans
We have shown previously that a hepatic lipase allele (designated –514T) is common among African Americans and contributes to low hepatic lipase activity in this population.

Abstract α‐Chiral amines are versatile building blocks for the asymmetric synthesis of optically pure high‐added‐value chemicals, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and natural products. Herein, we report a one‐pot, two‐step sequential deracemization of racemic sec‐alcohols to optically enriched primary amines throught a photo‐biocatalytic ...

Synthesis of hepatic lipase in liver and extrahepatic tissues
Immunoprecipitations of hepatic lipase from pulse-labeled rat liver have demonstrated that hepatic lipase is synthesized in two distinct molecular weight forms, HL-I (Mr = 51,000) and HL-II (Mr = 53,000).
