Lipid Mobility and Molecular Binding in Fluid Lipid Membranes

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2005
The lateral mobility of dilute concentrations of fluorescently labeled lipids doped into supported membranes is found to change upon receptor ligand binding at the membrane surface, even when the lipid is not directly involved in the binding event.

Purines and cortisone in lipid mobilization

Experientia, 1970
Purin-Basen, Kaffein und Cortison fuhren zu einer Vermehrung der Fettsauren im Rattenserum. Adenin vermindert im Gegensatz zu den anderen Purinen die Lipolyse.

Lipid mobilizing factor from the hypothalamus

Metabolism, 1970
Abstract Mouse epididymal fat pads were incubated for 2 hours in 3 per cent albumin Krebs-Ringer phosphate buffer (KRP), free of calcium and glucose, or in Krebs-Ringer bicarbonate (KRB) containing calcium. Addition of defatted acetic acid extracts of pituitary stalk and median eminence (SME) of ovine, porcine, bovine and human orgin significantly ...

Lipid Mobilization in X-Irradiated Rabbits

Radiation Research, 1961
The effects of lethal total-body x irradiation on various plasma lipid fractions and the degree of peripheral lipid mobilization were investigated in rabbits. Peripheral lipid mobilization was measured by the decrease in lipid concentration of a characteristic fat depot and the plasma free fatty acid response.
