Lipocalin-2 in the Inflammatory Activation of Brain Astrocytes
Critical Reviews in Immunology, 2015Lipocalin-2 (LCN2), a secretory protein, regulates diverse cellular processes such as cell death/survival, cell migration/invasion, cell differentiation, iron delivery, inflammation, insulin resistance, and tissue regeneration. Recently, we reported that LCN2 is secreted by brain astrocytes under inflammatory conditions and that it promotes apoptosis ...

Graphene-based immunoassay for human lipocalin-2
Analytical Biochemistry, 2014We have developed a highly sensitive immunoassay using graphene nano platelets (GNPs) for the rapid detection of human lipocalin-2 (LCN2) in plasma, serum, and whole blood. It has the dynamic range, linear range, limit of detection, and analytical sensitivity of 0.6 to 5120, 80 to 2560, 0.7, and 1pg/ml, respectively.

Evaluation of the serum level of Lipocalin 2 in vitiligo
Archives of Dermatological ResearchVitiligo is considered as depigmenting skin disorder where patches of skin losing their pigment. Lipocalin-2 (LCN2) is one of the Inflammatory adipokines that has a potential role in skin disorders and other inflammatory diseases as well. To measure the concentration level of LCN2 in vitiligo patients compared to healthy controls and to investigate its

The role of lipocalin-2 in the pathophysiology of hidradenitis suppurativa
Clinics in DermatologyLipocalin-2 (LCN-2) is a multifunctional glycoprotein that is weakly expressed in the skin and serum in healthy individuals, but it is associated with a range of inflammatory, metabolic, and cardiovascular conditions. Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by recurrent nodules, abscesses, and tunnels in skin ...
