An Automated Lab‐On‐A‐Chip Approach for Pollen Tube Growth Manipulation in a Controlled Chemical Environment
Advanced Science, EarlyView. Here, a microfluidic‐based robotic lab‐on‐a‐chip (LoC) device is presented for automated, continuous‐flow investigation and manipulation of single pollen tube growth under precisely controlled chemical gradients. This closed‐loop system streamlines data collection and analysis while enhancing experimental precision compared to manual methods ...Jiawei Zhu, Marta Belloli, João P. Advanced Science, EarlyView. The limited understanding of IGFR pathway activation hinders its clinical application in HCC. Here, IGFRIL is identified as a novel non‐coding activator of the IGF1R, which recruits PTBP1 to destabilize IGFBP3 mRNA and activates IGF1R, and proposes IGFRIL as a novel actionable target for HCC patients.Jing Zhang, Chengming Gao, Haibei Li, Yuying Chen, Liting Yang, Qian Jin, Lan Feng, Xia Wang, Xinyi Liu, Hongxia Chen, Rong Ye, Yuanchao Xue, Huiyun Wang, Musheng Zeng, Ming Yang, Huaiqiang Ju, Chengzhi Gao, Guangming Zhou, Qi Zhang, Qian Zhang, Geng Qin, Yuanfeng Li, Yahui Wang, Aiqing Yang, Anfeng Si, Qingfeng Song, Fuchu He, Pengbo Cao, Gangqiao Zhou +28 morewiley +1 more sourceTumor Intrinsic METTL5 Modulates ATF4 Translation to Prevent T Cell‐Induced Ferroptosis in Ovarian Cancer
Advanced Science, EarlyView. An integrative analysis combining in vitro genome‐wide immune screens, in vivo ICB screens, and clinical data mining identifies METTL5 as a key tumor‐intrinsic immune factor. Mechanistic studies further reveal the importance of the METTL5‐ATF4‐SLC7A11/SLC3A2‐ferroptosis axis in modulating antitumor immune responses. These findings highlight METTL5 as a Jiakai Hou, Cheng‐Wei Ju, Nicholas A. Egan, Yanjun Wei, Yunfei Wang, Minghao Dang, Tianyi Zhou, Leilei Shi, Ningbo Zheng, Si Chen, Ashley M. Advanced Science, EarlyView. The study identifies elevated homocysteine (Hcy) levels in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patients' samples, with alveolar type 2 cells as the primary site of Hcy metabolism. Methionine synthase reductase downregulation in these cells exacerbates fibrosis, while folate administration reduces Hcy levels and alleviates fibrosis.Jiefeng Huang, Ke Fang, Wuyan Lu, Rongrong Wu, Yuanyuan Chen, Linxiao Li, Zihao Hu, Zixin Cai, Yu Jiang, Xinli Fan, Jinyi Deng, Guangpeng Liu, Zhuang Luo, Lei Cui, Shuaijun Li +14 morewiley +1 more source
