Practical aspects of multiphase slug frequency: An overview
Abstract Slug frequency, the number of liquid slugs passing through a point per unit of time, is an intrinsic parameter that is used to characterize multiphase slug flows in pipes. In this review we discuss practical aspects of slug frequency for industrial purposes from an examination of published literature and available experimental data. The review

Sloshing response of partially filled rectangular tank under periodic horizontal ground motion.
The event caused due to the movement of the unrestricted free surface liquid in container due to any external excitation is known as sloshing. The problem of liquid sloshing phenomenon in stationary or in moving container is a great matter of concern for

A hybrid Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Machine Learning (ML) approach was used to predict the structural behavior and lifespan of oil storage tanks. ANFIS excelled in stress prediction, while ANN proved superior for lifespan estimation, thus enabling optimized design and maintenance strategies for industrial applications.

We present a method to compensate for the meniscus effect in phase contrast microscopy by using an LCD instead of a fixed condenser annulus. This approach enables adaptive annulus shifting based on image analysis, resulting in an increase in the phase contrast area by a factor of 8.3.
