A description is given of a target in which liquid hydrogen was bombarded with x-rays from the Berkeley synchrotron. The liquid hydrogen, in a stainless steel flask, was surrounded by an evacuated jacket containing a heat shield maintained at the temperature of liquid nitrogen. The liquid level was indicated by a counterweighted float system.

Impact of Concave and Convex Solid Surfaces By Liquid-Like Projectiles
A theoretical and experimental investigation of the normal impact of a flat-ended liquid slug onto ductile cylindrical solid targets is presented. The liquid slug is simulated by wax which is known to behave as a liquid in high speed impact situations ...

Production of nitrogen-13 labeled ammonia in liquid niobium target at the Karaj cyclotron [PDF]
A common and routine method for producing nitrogen-13 is 16O (p, α) 13N reaction, where nitrogen-13 is produced with the bombardment of O-16 through the induced proton, and is accompanied by emission of α-particles. Target material for N-13 production is
