Dielectric properties of litchi fruit (Litchi chinensis Sonn) at microwave frequencies
The dielectric properties of litchi fruit were determined using the open-ended coaxial probe method. The measurements were performed in the frequency range from 0.5 to 20 GHz during 3 days of storage at room temperature (~ 24 °C). The dielectric properties increased with storage time.

Improved Longan Genome Assembly Reveals Insights Into Flowering Mechanisms
ABSTRACT Longan is an exotic tropical fruit crop and exhibits off‐season flowering induced by potassium chlorate (KClO3), though the molecular mechanisms remain unclear. We assembled a high‐quality, 441.5 Mb genome of variety ‘Shixia’, with a contig N50 at 28.1 Mb, 29, 325 protein‐coding genes, 26 telomeres and 15 centromeres.

This study comprehensively analyzes the diversity and distribution of over 500 year old large old trees (LOTs) in Guangxi, China, identifying 2630 LOTs from 149 species with a notable latitudinal gradient in richness. Tree vitality was found to be highest in rural and natural habitats like villages and scenic spots, compared to residential areas.
