SSR‐based DNA fingerprinting of fruit crops

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 63, Issue 2, Page 390-459, March/April 2023., 2023
Abstract The DNA fingerprinting of fruit crops, based on DNA microsatellite markers that are considered to be the key markers for the molecular analysis of germplasm collections, is reviewed. Simple sequence repeats (SSRs) remain the markers of choice for fingerprinting in humans, animals, plants, and other living organisms. This review, that considers

Ethnobotanical knowledge against the combined biodiversity, poverty and climate crisis: A case study from a Karen community in Northern Thailand

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, Volume 4, Issue 4, Page 382-391, July 2022., 2022
Global biodiversity is eroding at alarming rates due to anthropogenic factors, such as climate change and unsustainable land use management. These interrelated challenges often push forest ecosystems to their limits, leading many species to disappear before their characteristics and potential are explored.
