A live-attenuated influenza vaccine for H3N2 canine influenza virus
Canine influenza is a contagious respiratory disease in dogs caused by two subtypes (H3N2 and H3N8) of canine influenza virus (CIV). Currently, only inactivated influenza vaccines (IIVs) are available for the prevention of CIVs. Historically, live-attenuated influenza vaccines (LAIVs) have been shown to produce better immunogenicity and protection ...

A biomimetic platelet nanoplatform (OE‐ACAD11@R‐PLT) is developed for targeted hepatocellular carcinoma immunotherapy. By selectively delivering therapeutic plasmids, this system induces mitochondrial dysfunction and triggers robust NLRP3/Caspase‐1/GSDMD‐mediated pyroptosis in tumor cells.

The Role of miRNAs in Chicken Immune Regulation and Prospects for Disease‐Resistant Breeding
A schematic workflow illustrating the screening of disease‐resistant miRNAs and the generation of miRNA‐based disease‐resistant chickens via PGC‐mediated germline genome editing. ABSTRACT MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are emerging as pivotal regulators of the immune system, playing a decisive role in shaping disease resistance in chicken.

Lysosome-targeting live attenuated influenza vaccines elicit robust and broad immunity in mice
The lysosome is a cell’s endogenous machinery responsible for degrading proteins. Here we describe two lysosome-targeting live attenuated vaccine approaches, LYTAR 1.0 and LYTAR 2.0, by harnessing the lysosome to conditionally degrade viral proteins of ...

Tuberculosis still claims more lives than any other pathogen, and a vaccine better than BCG is urgently needed. One of the challenges for novel TB vaccines is to protect against all Mycobacterium tuberculosis lineages, including the most virulent ones ...

Discordant correlation between serological assays observed when measuring heterosubtypic responses against avian influenza H5 and H7 viruses in unexposed individuals [PDF]
The human population is constantly exposed to multiple influenza A subtypes due to zoonotic spill over and rapid viral evolution driven by intrinsic error-prone replication and immunological pressure.
