Living donor liver transplantation in India
The world over, liver transplantation has emerged a panacea for thousands of patients suffering from end-stage liver disease. The strides made in living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) by Asian centres particularly in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan made many Indian centres realise that in order to sustain liver ...

A novel engineering strategy that establishes material design principles for incorporating anti‐inflammatory steroids into lipid nanoparticles to reduce LNP‐induced inflammation while retaining mRNA delivery. Results are validated in vitro and in three animal models of inflammation and autoimmunity in vivo.

Bioengineered Interfaces for Peripheral Nerve Sensory Restoration
Half of amputees abandon their prosthetics for lack of feeling. This review charts the full path from peripheral nerve injury to restored sensation, through surgical, regenerative, noninvasive, and implanted approaches, and shows how injury type and interface material properties determine which strategy can deliver naturalistic feedback, and why ...

This study presents the first demonstration of stable sub‐50‐micron single‐cell GPM vesicles fabricated through the intrinsic self‐assembly of an amphiphilic copolymer. Hierarchical assembly of cell containing GPM vesicles into microspheres enable tunable, sustained cell delivery with immune protection.

Anti‐PD‐1/PD‐L1 blockade has revolutionized cancer immunotherapy, but is ineffective against endocrine‐treated (i.e., Tamoxifen), relapsed ER+ breast cancer (BC) patients. This study provides insight into the sub‐optimal response of ER+BCs to anti‐PD‐1/PD‐L1 blockade – highlighting the induction of STING and the CEACAM1/TIM3 axis after chronic ...

The role of TNFα in the process of renal allograft interstitial fibrosis is complex and multifaceted. As it can promote renal allograft interstitial fibrosis by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction and EndMT, and also mediating compensatory mitophagy through the NEDD4–HIF‐1α–BNIP3 pathway, which clears damaged mitochondria and inhibits EndMT, thereby ...

Paediatric living donor liver transplantation
Paediatric liver transplantation is a highly effective therapy for children with end-stage liver disease; 1-year survival rates currently exceed 90% and long-term survivors enjoy an almost-normal quality of life. Key to the success of paediatric liver transplantation has been the technical refinement to provide children with suitably sized grafts ...
