Robot‐assisted pelvic exenteration (RPE) was performed with acceptable perioperative outcomes in selected patients with primary rectal cancer. It may serve as a complementary approach at institutions with sufficient experience in PE, whereas open surgery remains essential for extensive or technically demanding disease.

This graphical abstract summarizes the post‐pCR clinical pathway in locally advanced rectal cancer. After neoadjuvant radiotherapy and systemic therapy followed by surgery, patients achieving pCR (ypT0N0) generally have durable disease control, although residual risks of local and distant recurrence remain. Risk assessment, guideline‐based surveillance,

ABSTRACT Background Neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy is being explored in locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), yet the spatial patterns of pathologic response and clinical implications remain poorly characterized. Methods A 79‐year‐old female with recurrent left oral tongue SCC (PD‐L122C3 Combined Positive Score 90) who ...

Contemporary management of locally advanced rectal cancer: Resolving issues, controversies and shifting paradigms [PDF]
Advancements in rectal cancer treatment have resulted in improvement only in locoregional control and have failed to address distant relapse, which is the predominant mode of treatment failure in rectal cancer.

Pelvic Exenteration for Recurrent Rectal Cancer: A Single Institution Experience
Aim:Rectal cancer is an important cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide (1-2). Although rectal cancers can be diagnosed earlier nowadays due to the development of screening programmes, 18% of patients have a locally advanced stage at the time of ...

Clinical Translation of Patient‐Derived Organoids: Perspectives for Personalized Therapy in Cancer
ABSTRACT Patient‐derived organoids (PDO) are accelerating precision medicine. These biological platforms allow for the autologous in vitro expansion of material from cancer patients in a considerably short period of time. These three‐dimensional models can faithfully recapitulate aspects of tissue heterogeneity, architecture, and relevant cellular ...

Hypervision Proton Surgery: The Future Direction of Proton Therapy
ABSTRACT Proton beams provide unique physical advantages characterized by a low entrance dose, negligible exit dose, and a sharp Bragg peak, which enable superior sparing of normal tissues and support safe dose escalation for improved tumor control. However, conventional photon‐based fractionation remains widely used in proton therapy, where prolonged ...
