Refinement of amino‐acid conformation vs. difference density maps in time‐resolved serial femtosecond crystallography data analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

The crystal structure of the Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase BBE22 resolves a long‐standing annotation error

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase (PncA/BBE22) reveals the correct full‐length protein initiated from a non‐canonical AUU start codon. The structure validates previous biochemical findings and resolves a long‐standing annotation error, demonstrating that the truncated database sequence is structurally incompatible with the ...

Preserving privacy in environments with location-based applications

IEEE Pervasive Computing, 2003
The increase in location-based applications makes protecting personal location information a major challenge. Addressing this challenge requires a mechanism that lets users automate control of their location information, thereby minimizing the extent to which the system intrudes on their lives.

MiniNihongo: Location Based Japanese Minorlearning Application

Proceedings of the the 8th International Virtual Conference on Applied Computing & Information Technology, 2021
Mobile language learning applications are changing the way we learn. However, users are facing one problem: motivation. Self learning via application is easy to deceiving, so we propose a new approach for language learning application that provide users words that are relevant to daily activities in a ”suitable” time determined by the application: It ...

Enabling location-based applications

Proceedings of the 1st international workshop on Mobile commerce, 2001
We identify a number of factors that may hinder the commercial success of location-based applications: the concern of privacy, the need to consider context beyond location, the presence of voluminous resources, and the constrained interfaces available on mobile devices.

Location Based Application Availability

2009
Smart cards are being integrated into a diverse range of industries: ranging from banking, telecom, transport, home/office access control to health and E-passport. Traditionally, cardholders are required to carry a smart card for each application. However, recent developments in the Near Field Communication (NFC) have renewed the interest in multiple ...

Location Based Chat Android Application

2021 2nd Global Conference for Advancement in Technology (GCAT), 2021
As we know, to communicate with a person we may need at least some information like a person’s contact/mobile number in order to chat with him/her. There may be instances where we want to contact someone nearby and we do not have their contact details, in such a situation our app plays a crucial role in the communication.
