Classifying cognitive status with TabCAT Match and UDS executive function tests
Abstract INTRODUCTION Tablet‐based Cognitive Assessment Tool (TabCAT) Match, a digital neuropsychological test, was compared to measures of executive function from the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center's Uniform Dataset (UDS). METHODS TabCAT Match data were available for 1792 clinically diverse older adults.

Background: While primary progressive aphasia (PPA) is associated with frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) pathology due to tau or TDP, clinical-pathological studies also demonstrate many cases have Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathology.

Word-finding pauses in primary progressive aphasia (PPA): Effects of lexical category [PDF]
Word-finding pauses are common in logopenic primary progressive aphasia (PPA-L). However, no previous research investigated the distribution of word-finding pauses in PPA or their specificity to PPA-L.

Establishing two principal dimensions of cognitive variation in logopenic progressive aphasia [PDF]
Abstract Logopenic progressive aphasia (LPA) is a neurodegenerative syndrome characterised by sentence repetition and naming difficulties arising from left-lateralised temporoparietal atrophy. Clinical descriptions of LPA largely concentrate on profiling language deficits, however, accumulating evidence points to the presence of ...

Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) algorithms are revolutionising the world, and they have the potential to revolutionise neuropsychology as well. A particularly fruitful field for this revolution is the cognitive assessment of neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Mild Cognitive ...

Noun and Verb Production and Comprehension in Stroke-Induced and Primary Progressive Aphasia: An Introduction to the Northwestern Naming Battery [PDF]
This study examined production and comprehension of nouns and verbs using the Northwestern Naming Battery (NNB), a new test designed to assess naming ability in individuals with stroke-induced or primary progressive aphasia (PPA). Scores derived from the

Mapping Alzheimer's disease heterogeneity with molecular imaging biomarkers
This review outlines positron emission tomography (PET) biomarkers used in Alzheimer's disease (AD) research and clinical settings, targeting both specific (amyloid, tau) and non‐specific (neurodegeneration, synaptic density, neuroinflammation) processes.
