Abnormal Phase Transition Mechanism in the CoCrAlY Bond Coat Revealed by In Situ and Ex Situ Experiments

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT In Co‐based alloys, the γ phase is normally stable at high temperatures and the ε phase at low temperatures, and there is a martensitic transition on cooling to ∼417°C. In the γ/β dual‐phase CoCrAlY bond coat of turbine blade thermal barrier coating systems, we observed the opposite: γ remained stable at room temperature, yet it underwent a γ →

Regulating Ligand‐to‐Metal Charge Transfer in UiO‐66(Zr)‐NH2 With Site‐Isolated Cu+ Centers for Efficient Photocatalytic H2O2 Generation

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
Incorporation of highly dispersed Cu species into UiO‐66(Zr)‐NH2 introduces a competing ligand‐to‐Cu charge–transfer pathway that suppresses charge recombination and enhances photocatalytic H2O2 production. Combined PL, TRPL, TRIR, and variable‐temperature FTIR analyses reveal Cu‐mediated modulation of excited‐state dynamics and oxygen reduction ...

AI‐assisted automated endpoint interpretation for turbidity‐based digital LAMP using bright‐field microscopy

open access: yesVIEW, Volume 7, Issue 4, August 2026.
Turbidity‐based digital LAMP offers a low‐cost alternative for nucleic acid quantification, but interpreting bright‐field images is difficult due to weak contrast and noise. We developed NanoFuse‐YOLO11, an AI‐based detection model that automatically identifies positive reaction units in turbidity microscopy images.

Application of a novel molecular diagnostic method to examine the spatio‐temporal trends of Carcelia iliaca, a larval parasitoid of oak processionary moth (Thaumetopoea processionea)

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, Volume 28, Issue 3, Page 348-356, August 2026.
The oak processionary moth is an invasive pest in the United Kingdom that threatens biodiversity and public health, with rising control costs highlighting the need for sustainable management alternatives Conservation biocontrol using the parasitoid fly Carcelia iliaca is promising but key biological data gaps hinder evidence‐based policy development. Development of PCR, LAMP and HRM‐Based Molecular Species Diagnostic Tools for Identifying Four Agricultural Pests in the Genus Helicoverpa (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

open access: yesJournal of Applied Entomology, Volume 150, Issue 7, Page 900-913, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Within the subfamily Heliothinae, the genus Helicoverpa comprises several highly destructive agricultural pests, including H. armigera, H. assulta, H. punctigera and H. zea. These species cause significant global crop losses due to their wide host range, long‐distance migratory behaviour, and potential for interspecific hybridization.

A loop-mediated isothermal amplification test for yaws

open access: yes
Background: To meet the WHO target of eradicating yaws by 2030, highly sensitive and specific diagnostic tools are needed. A multiplex Treponema pallidum-Haemophilus ducreyi loop-mediated isothermal amplification (TPHD-LAMP) test holds promise as a near-patient diagnostic tool for yaws and H ducreyi.

Applications of Loop-Mediated Isothermal DNA Amplification

Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, 2010
During the last 10 years, with the development of loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) method, it has been widely applied in nucleic acid analysis because of its simplicity, rapidity, high efficiency, and outstanding specificity. This method employs a DNA polymerase and a set of four specially designed primers that recognize a total of six ...
