A series of three full-scale, nearly-conventional, curtain wall specimens were blast tested in the open arena of the Infrastructure Security and Emergency Responder Research and Training (ISERRT) Facility in Gastonia, NC. The specimens were subjected to low-level blast loads produced from the detonation of high explosives.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis

Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.
