Phase and amplitude pre-emphasis techniques for low-power serial links [PDF]
A novel approach to equalization of high-speed serial links combines both amplitude pre-emphasis to correct for intersymbol interference and phase pre-emphasis to compensate for deterministic jitter, in particular, data-dependent jitter.

A Perspective on SOI Symmetric Lateral Bipolar Transistors for Ultra-Low-Power Systems
The reasons why state-of-the-art vertical bipolar circuits dissipate very high power are explained. The recent advent of SOI symmetric lateral bipolar transistors invites us to rethink bipolar as a high-speed but low-power technology.

A 6.0-mW 10.0-Gb/s Receiver With Switched-Capacitor Summation DFE [PDF]
A low-power receiver with a one-tap decision feedback equalization (DFE) was fabricated in 90-nm CMOS technology. The speculative equalization is performed using switched-capacitor-based addition at the front-end sample-hold circuit.

A Fully Differential Digital CMOS Pulse UWB Generator [PDF]
A new fully-digital CMOS pulse generator for impulse-radio Ultra-Wide-Band (UWB) systems is presented. First, the shape of the pulse which best fits the FCC regulation in the 3.1-5 GHz sub-band of the entire 3.1-10.6 GHz UWB bandwidth is derived and ...

Ultra-Low-Power CMOS Oscillator
Currently, due to the constant technological advancement and search for innovation, the vast majority of the circuits that compose devices that we use in our day-to-day activities, have been decreasing in size. These are inserted in integrated circuits, where the area and energy consumption are major limitations.
