Low-Grade Glioma

Archives of Neurology, 1989
We believe there is insufficient evidence to justify the aggressive treatment (ie, surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy) of all low-grade gliomas of the cerebral hemispheres. The indolent nature of these tumors makes it difficult, in the absence of a properly controlled clinical trial, to evaluate the true effectiveness of intervention.

The Low-Grade Lymphoproliferative Disorders

Oncology, 2009
Rapid advances in our understanding of the biology and pathology of lymphoproliferative disorders, permitted mainly by new diagnostic tools, constantly change our approach to this heterogenous group of disorders. Low-grade intraosseous osteosarcoma

Cancer, 1990
A study of 80 well-differentiated osteosarcomas, 16 from the Mayo Clinic files and 64 from our consultation files, revealed that males and females were about equally affected, most of the patients were young adults, and skeletal distribution was similar to the distribution seen in conventional osteosarcoma. Radiographs generally showed poor margination,

Chemotherapy for low-grade gliomas

Expert Review of Neurotherapeutics, 2005

In addition, the role and timing of radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the management of low-grade tumors is highly controversial. Most agree that physicians should recommend treatment in symptomatic cases or in instances of radiologic

Multicentric Low-Grade Gliomas

World Neurosurgery, 2015
Multicentric low-grade gliomas are rare entities that occur in disparate regions of the brain. They can present with distinct pathologic and imaging findings and may harbor a worse prognosis. We present a case of multicentric low-grade gliomas and highlight their pathogenesis, imaging characteristics, and molecular signatures, with implications for ...

The treatment of low grade lymphoma

Clinical Oncology, 1994
Th e prognosis for a patient with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is dependent in a large part on the grade of disease, as well as its stage and the general condition of the patient. It was traditionally thought that patients with low grade lymphoma (LGL) had a generally good prognosis, with many series reporting 5-year survivals in the order of 60%-80 ...
