Cellular Heterogeneity During Arterial Aging

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 7, July 2026.
Graphical abstract showing arterial cell subpopulations and their functional changes during aging. Transcriptomic profiling studies across species identify age‐associated endothelial, smooth muscle, fibroblast, and immune cell states characterized by inflammation, extracellular matrix remodeling, phenotypic switching, and cellular senescence ...

Optic nerve sheath meningioma exhibits neural niche‐associated transcriptomic features and rare copy number variation‐linked evolution

open access: yesBrain Pathology, Volume 36, Issue 4, July 2026.
Optic nerve sheath meningiomas are typically NF2‐intact with few copy number alterations and are generally clinically indolent. Rare aggressive recurrences are associated with progressive accumulation of copy number variations, including CDKN2A/B homozygous deletion, 1q gain, and 14q loss.

Updates on Mediterranean diet and health status: active ingredients and pharmacological mechanisms

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 13, Page 3484-3502, July 2026.
The Mediterranean diet (MedDiet) is among the most extensively studied dietary patterns and has been consistently associated with reduced risk of all‐cause mortality, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders, cognitive decline and several types of cancers.

Circulating M‐MDSC Expansion During Therapy Associates With Treatment Response in Multiple Myeloma: A Longitudinal Observational Study

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 19, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Dynamic changes in myeloid‐derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) during multiple myeloma (MM) treatment remain poorly understood. In this longitudinal observational study, circulating monocytic (M‐MDSCs) and polymorphonuclear MDSCs (PMN‐MDSCs) were measured by flow cytometry in 99 newly diagnosed MM patients at diagnosis, post‐induction, and Day ...

Glucocorticoid Receptor Translational Isoforms Generate Unique Glucocorticoid Responses in the Mouse Brain

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 12, 30 June 2026.
GR‐A knockin mice were generated that express the classic full‐length glucocorticoid receptor (GR‐A) but lack the highly conserved translational isoforms GR‐B, GR‐C1, GR‐C2, GR‐C3, GR‐D1, GR‐D2, and GR‐D3 that have progressively shorter N‐terminal transactivation domains (NTDs).
