, 2019 This article offers a comparative analysis of Zama (2017), the fourth film by the Argentinian director Lucrecia Martel, based on the homonymous novel by Antonio Di Benedetto (1956). We discuss the transformation of literary autodiegetic narration into an esthetic that we define as realism of perception.
