Exploring the effects of tinzaparin and cisplatin on lung cancer cells in vitro
Background Low molecular weight heparins (LMWH) are widely used to prevent or treat cancer- and thrombosis-related conditions. However, their direct effects on cancer cells remain unclear. Methods Nine non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell lines (H1437,

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

The healthcare needs of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients in the last year of life
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) causes almost as many deaths as lung cancer, yet evidence about the impact of COPD in the latter stages of illness is limited. We assessed the healthcare needs of COPD patients in the last year of life through
