New Lycopodium alkaloids from Lycopodium obscurum [PDF]

open access: yesNatural Products and Bioprospecting, 2013
Three new Lycopodium alkaloids, obscurumines C-E (1–3), along with nine known compounds, were isolated from the club moss Lycopodium obscurum L. Structures of the new compounds were determined on the basis of their spectroscopic analysis and the relative configurations of 1 were established by X-ray crystallographic analysis.

Alkaloids of Lycopodium magellanicum

open access: yesPhytochemistry, 1979
Abstract Six alkaloids have been isolated from Lycopodium magellanicum. These include the known alkaloids lycopodine, acetyldihydrolycopodine, lycodine, N-methyllycodine, acetylfawcettine and a new alkaloid, 5-dehydro-magellanine. The chemical correlation of magellanine and paniculatine and the establishment of their absolute configuration are ...

The Genus Diphasiastrum and Its Lycopodium Alkaloids [PDF]

open access: yesPlanta Medica, 2015
The genus Diphasiastrum includes at least 23 species distributed primarily across the northern temperate and subarctic areas of the world. These plants produce an array of lycopodium alkaloids, and some species such as Diphasiastrum complanatum have been used in traditional medicine for ages for various conditions. Hybridization is common in this group

Malycorins A-C, New Lycopodium Alkaloids from Lycopodium phlegmaria

open access: yesChemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2008
A novel C(19)N-type Lycopodium alkaloid, malycorin A (1) consisting of a serratinane skeleton with 2-propanol unit has been isolated from the club moss Lycopodium phlegmaria, together with two new C(16)N-type alkaloids, malycorins B (2) and C (3), and the structures and relative stereochemistry were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data.

Serratinine: A novel skeletal lycopodium alkaloid

open access: yesTetrahedron Letters, 1966
Serratinine, one of major alkaloids of Lycopodium serratum THUNB. var. Thunbergii MAKINO, is a tetracyclic new alkaloid possessing an expanded formula, C10H15(〓CH-OH)(〓CH-OH)(〓CH-CH3)(-COCH2-) (-N-). On the basis of chemical and spectroscopic data, the partial structure (C) for serratinine was proposed.
