Research progress in the application of single‐cell sequencing technology in rheumatic diseases

open access: yesRheumatology &Autoimmunity, Volume 5, Issue 4, Page 275-284, December 2025.
Application of single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) technology in the study of the pathogenesis of rheumatic diseases. Tree of content illustration depicting the multi‐layered insights from scRNA‐seq in rheumatic diseases. The outer layer highlights key cell subsets identified by scRNA‐seq in rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus ...

Lung lymphoid neogenesis in cystic fibrosis: a model of adaptive responses to bacteria?

open access: yes, 2017
Cystic fibrosis and non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis share as their main clinical hallmark repeated lung infections by opportunist pathogens. In the normal adult lung, almost no lymphoid tissue is observed, in contrast to fetal and paediatric lungs [1]

DataSheet_14_Molecular, Immunological, and Clinical Features Associated With Lymphoid Neogenesis in Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer.pdf

open access: yes, 2022
Lymphoid neogenesis gives rise to tertiary lymphoid structures (TLS) in the periphery of multiple cancer types including muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) where it has positive prognostic and predictive associations.

Immunomodulatory Mechanisms of Chronic Wound Healing: Translational and Clinical Relevance

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 11, November 2025.
This graphical abstract illustrates the immunomodulation of chronic wounds through various therapeutic approaches aimed at regulating the immune response to promote healing. ABSTRACT Chronic wounds—such as diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), pressure ulcers (PUs), and venous leg ulcers (VLUs)—pose a serious clinical challenge due to their prolonged ...

Simulation and Statistical Techniques to Explore Lymphoid Tissue Organogenesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Secondary lymphoid organs have a key role in the initiation of adaptive immune responses to infection. Organogenesis occurs in foetal development, and the use of genetic tools, imaging technologies, and ex vivo culture systems has provided significant ...

Unveiling Vasculature‐Associated Lymphoid Tissue (VALT) in Goats: A Novel Player in Kidney Inflammation

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 6, November 2025.
Vasculature‐Associated Lymphoid Tissue (VALT) is a significant tertiary lymphoid tissue that contributes to kidney inflammation and has not yet been identified in ruminants. Our study revealed that VALT in goats consists of typical immune cells, including macrophages, T cells, B cells and high endothelial venules.

Tertiary lymphoid organs in Takayasu Arteritis

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2016
Objective: The role of B cells in the pathogenesis of Takayasu arteritis (TA) is controversial. We aimed to study the presence of tertiary lymphoid organs (TLOs) in the aortic wall of TA patients. Methods: Hematoxylin and eosin–stained sections from aorta
