Isolation and properties of a phage lytic for non-smooth Brucella organisms
Journal of Biological Standardization, 1979A phage for non-smooth cells of Brucella abortus was isolated from a mixture of three brucella-phages incubated with rough brucella cells in the presence of N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine. It did not lyse smooth cells of Br. abortus strains nor those of other Brucella species, but during the course of its replication in rough organisms a small ...

Structure of colitis phage lytic enzyme gene.
Biochemistry international, 1991A sequence of 163 amino acids was derived from the nucleotide sequence of a DNA fragment bearing the colitis phage lytic enzyme gene. The molecular weight, basicity and the sequence of the three N-terminal amino acids agreed with those of the phage lytic enzyme.

Studies of a Novel Phage Lytic Enzyme, PlySs2
2014Streptococcus suis infects pigs worldwide and may be zoonotically transmitted to humans with a mortality rate of up to 20%. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Streptococcus pyogenes (group A streptococci – GrAS) cause potentially fatal human diseases.

13 Phage Lysozyme and Other Lytic Enzymes
1971Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on various phage lysozymes and other lytic enzymes. The T4 phage lysozyme is found mainly in the lysates, and only one lysozyme molecule for two phage particles has been recovered in a probably nonspecific manner, which is contrary to the case of T2 phage lysozyme.
