Action for N D0-branes invariant under gauged Galilean transformations
In this short note we formulate an action for N D0-branes that is manifestly invariant under gauged Galilean transformations. We also find its canonical form and determine first class constraints that are generators of gauge transformations.

On brane solutions in M (atrix) theory [PDF]
In this paper we consider brane solutions of the form $G/H$ in M(atrix) theory, showing the emergence of world volume coordinates for the cases where $G=SU(N)$. We examine a particular solution with a world volume geometry of the form ${\bf CP}^2 \times S^1$ in some detail and show how a smooth manifold structure emerges in the large $N$ limit. In this

Emergent geometry through quantum entanglement in Matrix theories
In the setting of the Berenstein-Maldacena-Nastase Matrix theory, dual to light-cone M-theory in a PP-wave background, we compute the Von Neumann entanglement entropy between a probe giant graviton and a source.

Divergent ⇒ complex amplitudes in two dimensional string theory
In a recent paper, Balthazar, Rodriguez and Yin found remarkable agreement between the one instanton contribution to the scattering amplitudes of two dimensional string theory and those in the matrix model to the first subleading order.

Chaotic instability in the BFSS matrix model
Chaotic scattering is a manifestation of transient chaos realized by the scattering with non-integrable potential. When the initial position is taken in the potential, a particle initially exhibits chaotic motion, but escapes outside after a certain ...

Integrality, duality and finiteness in combinatoric topological strings
A remarkable result at the intersection of number theory and group theory states that the order of a finite group G (denoted |G|) is divisible by the dimension d R of any irreducible complex representation of G.

In this work we consider the existence and uniqueness of the ground state of the regularized Hamiltonian of the Supermembrane in dimensions D = 4, 5, 7 and 11, or equivalently the SU(N) Matrix Model. That is, the 0+1 reduction of the 10-dimensional SU(N)

Membranes for Guided Bone Regeneration: A Road from Bench to Bedside
Membranes for guided bone regeneration (GBR) are medical devices (MDs) developed to elicit bone formation by protecting the defect site. This review aims to elucidate the complex scientific translation of biomaterials for such MDs. The focus is set on the latest advancements in GBR membranes, their regulatory framework, and the industrialization ...

On the quantum mechanics of M (atrix) theory [PDF]
We present a study of M(atrix) theory from a purely canonical viewpoint. In particular, we identify free particle asymptotic states of the model corresponding to the supergraviton multiplet of eleven dimensional supergravity. These states have a natural interpretation as excitations in the flat directions of the matrix model potential.
