Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

Quantitative robustness of localized support vector machines
The huge amount of available data nowadays is a challenge for kernel-based machine learning algorithms like SVMs with respect to runtime and storage capacities. Local approaches might help to relieve these issues and to improve statistical accuracy. It has already been shown that these local approaches are consistent and robust in a basic sense.

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Translating whole‐genome doubling into precision medicine in cancer
Whole‐genome doubling creates a WGD‐positive tumor state characterized by persistent chromosomal instability, karyotypic diversification, and cellular stress. These same biological pressures drive aggressive tumor evolution while exposing therapeutic vulnerabilities, providing a rationale for WGD‐informed precision medicine. Whole‐genome doubling (WGD)

On the hybrid localization/envelopment problem [PDF]
The problem of aligning the CAD model of a workpiece such that all points measured on the finished surfaces of the workpiece match closely to corresponding surfaces on the model while all unmachined surfaces lie outside the model is referred to as the ...
