Matrix stiffness softening is identified as a previously underappreciated feature in deep caries. Higher stiffness drives exosome release in dental pulp stem cells through a coordinated mechanism involving PI3K–AKT‐regulated Baiap2 and kinesin‐1, thereby promoting odontogenic differentiation.

Cholesterol-mediated inflammation activation in alveolar macrophages
Background The role of cholesterol- and cholesterol crystal-mediated inflammation has been extensively investigated in circulating macrophages in the context of cardiovascular diseases while little is known about its contribution to lung diseases ...

Exposure to CS causes an elevation of AARS1 levels, which increases the levels of RUNX3 lactylation at the K193 site and increases protein levels of RUNX3 through inhibition of autolysosomal degradation. Elevated RUNX3 levels promote CD8+T cell activation and augment their cytotoxicity, which induces alveolar epithelial cell death and facilitates the ...

VEGFR‐2 signaling in OSCC activates Src–STAT6‐dependent CSF2 transcription, driving tumor‐derived GM‐CSF secretion. GM‐CSF programs neutrophils to express PD‐L1 through STAT5–mTOR/S6K signaling, suppressing cytotoxic CD8+ T cells. This pathway reveals a tumor–neutrophil immune checkpoint circuit that limits anti‐PD‐1 responsiveness in OSCC.

Intracellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1)-mediated cell-cell adhesion is thought to play an important role at sites of inflammation. Recent evidence suggests that ICAM-1 surface expression on alveolar macrophages is increased in pulmonary sarcoidosis ...

Alveolar macrophages: guardians of the alveolar lipid galaxy
Purpose of review As the primary guardians at the air-surface interface, the functional profile of alveolar macrophages (AM) is wide-ranging from establishment of the alveolar niche, homeostatic maintenance of surfactant levels, to pathogen clearance and resolution and repair processes.

A pH‐switchable cerium single‐atom enzyme is developed for stage‐specific peri‐implantitis therapy. Acidic conditions trigger antibacterial peroxidase‐like activity, whereas neutral conditions activate an antioxidant superoxide dismutase ‐ and catalase ‐like enzymatic relay. This microenvironment‐adaptive catalytic strategy suppresses the IL‐6/JAK‐STAT

Technical limitations often let dominant signals overshadow rare cell types and fine‐grained heterogeneity in spatial transcriptomics. SemanticST, a graph neural network using multi‐semantic graph fusion and a novel min‐cut loss, recovers these subtle patterns.
